Dreaming

Dreaming

Hamun was walking in the forest when he trod on a snake. He leapt into the air in terror and ran away as fast as he could. Later he told Giben what had happened.
"Go back to that forest and confront that snake!" said Giben.
"Are you mad!?" cried Hamun. "I'm terrified."
"Then live in fear and guilt for the rest of your days," said Giben.
So, reluctantly, Hamun crept back into the forest to seach for the snake. But all he could find was a coil of rope which did indeed look like a snake and was exactly where the snake had been.
"What a fool I am!" thought Hamun as he made his way home, "to run away in terror from a coil of rope. And what an amazing fellow Giben is, always to know such things!"
Just at that moment, Hamun looked down and saw a real snake slithering from under his feet."
"Hello, Hamun!" said the snake. "We meet again!"
